Davis high school’s track team is going to take on various schools in the upcoming track competition. The track is going to take place here at Davis out on the outdoor track by the football field. The other schools that are competing today include Weber High, Layton High, Syracuse High, Fremont High, and Clearfield High.

There are a number of events that will be performed, these event include girls’ high jump, girls’ pole vault, girls’ discus, boys’ long jump, boys’ shot put, boys’ 3200 meter run, girls’ 100 meter hurdles, boys’ 110 meter hurdles, boys’ 100 meter dash, and much more.

The track season is almost coming to an end, there is one more meet after this one, and that meet is state. In today’s meet it is projected that the boys and the girls are going to take second, but senior Alicia Halverson said that she believes that both the boys and girls should be able to be triumphant and take first place.

At state, it is predicted that Davis is not supposed to perform great, but a lot of the track teammates think that they are an underrated team and that they will surprise people with a dominant execution. If you have some spare time, I suggest that you should go and watch the track team at their events and support your fellow Darts.
