Over spring break the D’ettes went to Anaheim, California for Nationals and competed April 28th and 29th. There were three different divisions and 13 schools to compete against.  Captain, Taitlyn Clark said, “We did really really good, in our military routine we made it to the championship finals. And then we went against one other team for first and second, and we took first.” They also ended up acquiring the most points out of everyone and taking first overall. This was such a fun trip for all the girls.

Jenna Kaholoaa said her favorite part was, “..at finals performing our military routine. Just all the girls while they were performing could feel how insync we were, and it was a really cool feeling.” And for Clark she said, “Being a senior it was just really cool to be able to have that experience with my team and to go and just compete and have fun.”

D’ettes choreograph and perform many different types of dances. Clark talks about a few, she said, “I love character because we get to put on the kiss makeup and rock out and people can’t tell who we are, ya know? So we just get to be ourselves and rock out on the dance floor, so one is so much fun…and military is so powerful, its such a team building routine.”
