It can be difficult trying to come up with ideas for your day date. You want to do something fun that is also cost effective and easy to plan. Here I have listed some of the best day date ideas for you and your group to go do for your next dance.

1. Top Golf

Top golf is a great place to go on a date. You can enjoy some delicious food and friendly competition. If you don’t know your date very well, it is a great way to break the ice. You can laugh at each other’s swings and just hangout. Top golf is more of an active date which can be a lot more fun than doing something where you just sit there. Although top golf is a very fun date idea, it can be expensive.

2. Salt Flats

Going to the salt flats for your day date is very common here at Davis High. Lots of groups go to the salt flats to ride four wheelers, side by sides, and dirt bikes. You can also have a fire and roast smores and/or hot dogs while listening to music. Since its such an open place you can hit golf balls too. This is a fun date idea if you want to get to know your date a little bit better. You are basically just hanging out and having fun.

3. Escape Room

Lots of people go to escape rooms for day dates. An escape room can be a really fun place to go with a good group of people. You can bond with your date and your group over the puzzles and try to work together to solve them. It will never be awkward in an escape room since you can talk about the puzzles and tasks you have to complete. If you guys manage to escape and complete the room, you will feel accomplished and maybe more bonded. If you think just doing an escape room is too short, you can always grab ice cream or a sweet treat after.

4. Trampoline Park

If you want to do something fun that requires you to move around, a trampoline park might be the place to go. This is a more exciting date idea that will create laughter and good memories. This is also a good place to go to if your group is pretty big. There is space for everyone to jump around and hang out. Everyone can bond over doing tricks and just jumping around. If you want to have a fun night with your friends, I say go to a trampoline park.

5. Rush

A lot of people go to rush for their day dates. Rush has many things to offer, such as bowling, go karting, roller skating, laser tag, rock climbing, foam pits, and more. If you go to rush you will be having fun all night. Its always fun to start off bowling so you all can bond over your mad skills or gutter balls. Go karting is a fun way to talk to your date one on one while speeding around the track and competing with the other people in your group. If you and your group choose to go to rush for your day date, you won’t regret it!

6. Sledding

If your dance happens to be during the winter this can limit your options. If you still want to be outside, sledding is a great idea. Sledding is super fun and will have you laughing all night. It is a great way to get outside during the winter and be active. Gliding down the slopes with your friends and your dates will create lasting memories. After you sled, you can go to someone’s house and drink hot chocolate while playing games or hanging out.

Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt is a fun way to spend time with your dance group. You can all follow clues and solve hints together while running around trying to beat the other teams. By doing this you are working together and using your brains. This is a super fun idea, but it can take some time to prepare. If you and your group are willing to set this up, it is a fantastic way to spend time with your group!

8. Swimming

Swimming is a fun day date idea that can break the ice. You get to hangout with your group and meet everyone. It is an active idea that has everyone moving around. If there is a diving board everyone can show off their best tricks. There are also lots of pool games you can play. You can eat food and blast music. After you guys are done swimming, you can also have a fire and roast smores.

9. Axe Throwing

Axe throwing is good for big groups. If your dance group is large this is a good place to go. You can show off your axe throwing skills and laugh about your attempts. It is a good place to hangout and get to know everyone in your group. You can also bring food and eat it while you wait for your turn. If you don’t have any ideas, axe throwing is a fun place to go to.

10. Jazz Game

Going to a jazz game is a great place to spend time with your date and group. Jazz games are easy to go to since there is always something going on. There is good food there you can eat. Majority of people enjoy watching sporting events and will be excited to go to a game. Since you would be in Salt Lake, you can walk around the city and get dinner or a sweet treat before or after the game. There are lots of things you can do in Salt Lake. There are also tickets that are cheaper that you could get if you don’t want to spend a lot of money as well.
