In Review: The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The story line of The Amazing Spider-man 2, according to the official movie web-site says, “It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, being the hero, and spending time with Gwen Stacy(Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp”

This movie is not like all other hero movies, it does not involve a villain threatening to explode the whole city, and has something to do with a nuclear weapon like in “The Avengers”, and “Pacific Rim”.  Instead of a huge paranormal force trying to destroy a city, it is literally a human battery that calls himself “Electro” (played by Jamie Foxx), he does not try to destroy the whole city, he tries to destroy spiderman , so slightly different but not that original. Stan Lee makes his appearance in the movie, like in most marvel super hero movies, his appearance brings a comical effect into the movie,  not original again, but funny, so it works out.

The main storyline is full of bends that shape the way Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield), goes about defeating the villains. With a huge twist at the end of the movie which is very obvious to Spider-Man fans as it stays true to the comic books.
