The K Club

Do you like K-pop? Do you enjoy learning about new places? Then the K club is the place for you.

The K Club meets in Mrs. Clemens classroom every Wednesday after school. To understand what the K club is and what it is about members were asked to describe it. Shayla Hunt, Vice president of the club commented on the matter. “It’s a club based on Korea culture and everything in Korea culture,” She continued, “We go over the language and entertainment of Korea and its history,” The K-club is different from other clubs and organizations at Davis because of certain factors. For one it is very personalized to its members.  The club will be like an actual history class and will have a curriculum where different aspects of Korean culture will be focused on. “The plan is to divide into sections. So, if you want to learn about music you can and later if you want to come learn about their entertainment you can.” explained Shayla.  The members of the club will be the teachers of each subject, Shayla Hunt is over the culture unit. Hunt concluded, “It’s good for people to be aware of other places because we mostly learn about European history or American history, we don’t really learn about Koreas history, we (members of the club) enjoy Koreas culture and want others to learn and enjoy it,”
