Club Spotlight: FFA (Future Farmers of America)

Brady Karras

FFA, or Future Farmers of America, is a prominent club that Mr. Spaulding runs at Davis High School. This wonderful club has various activities for the members to take part in. There are events where the FFA clubs from many different schools go to judge animals qualities, and who ever does the best job wins. FFA also helps out in humanitarian work and service projects. FFA can be competitive with other schools’ clubs as well.

FFA tends to travel for their competitions. The locations of travel vary depending on where each competition is, but they have been to places like Snow College and Logan, Utah.

In addition to all the competitions held in various locations, FFA holds award ceremonies to hand out awards to the successful students that participated in their competitions.

This club has a few topics they focus on. The mission statement of FFA, as stated on their official website, says “FFA is the premier youth organization preparing members for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture.” FFA is a great organization and I highly suggest that you join the FFA club if their topics interest you!
