Over the last 10 years there have been some definite bangers in the music industry. I’m going to be breaking down the best songs and albums of the last decade.

In 2010 some of the top songs were Last Friday Night by Katy Perry, DJ Got us Fallin in Love By Usher, Super Bass by Nicki Minaj, and Pumped Up Kicks By Foster the People.

In 2011 these bops came out on the top, Born This Way By Lady Gaga, We Found Love By Rihanna, Party Rock Anthem By LMFAO, and Marvin’s Room By Drake

2012 brought us these masterpieces, Gangnam Style by PSY, Diamonds by Rihanna, Live While We’re Young by One Direction, and Boyfriend by Justin Bieber.

You thought the end of the world was coming but its just the 2013 hits of the year. Royals by Lorde, Suite and Tie by Justin Timberlake, Applause by Lady Gaga, and Talk Dirty by Jason Derulo.

2014 was a wild year for sure. Stay With Me by Sam Smith, Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, Jealous by Nick Jonas, and the wildest of all Anaconda by Nicki Min aj.

2015 was THE year for major stars, top songs were, Hello by Adele, The Hills by The Weekend, What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber, Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) By Silento, 679 by Fetty Wap, and White Iverson by Post Malone.

As the years went on the development of music increased and 2016 brought us rap like weve never seen before. Black Beetle by Rae Sremmurd, Star Boy by The Weekend, Hotline Bling by Drake, Broccoli by D.R.A.M., Bad and Boujee by Migos, Money Longer by Lil Uzi Vert.

2017 bops surely got stuck in our heads. HUMBLE by Kendrick Lamar, Rockstar by Post Malone, Bodak Yellow by Cardi B. Many artists made a reappearance in the industry. Harry Styles started his solo career with releasing Sign of The Times, Miley Cyrus made an unexpected comeback with her song Malibu.

2018 put us in our feels with these top songs. In My Feelings by Drake, SICKO MODE by Travis Scott, Lucid Dreams By Juice Wrld, This is America by Childish Gambino, Thank u, Next by Ariana Grande, Without me by Halsey, Sunflower by Post Malone, and finally Mo Bamba by Sheck Wes.

2019 made us dance until our toes fell off, with some of the best songs overall. Suge by DaBaby, Old Town Road by Lil Nas X, Bad Guy by Billie Eilish, Roxanne by Arizone Zervas, Circles by Post Malone, a reappearance by the Jonas Brothers with their single Sucker and their album Happiness Begins, Watermelon Sugar by Harry Styles, including his album Fine Line, and Bandit by Juice Wrld (Rest in peace you angel).

These last 10 years of music have made the decade what it is today. Teenagers and kids today have grown up with these songs. Hopefully 2020 and the next 10 years can live up to the last decade.
