10 Last Minute Halloween Costumes
Are you feeling the Halloween spirit, but you’ve procrastinated on finding the perfect
costume? Don’t worry; I’ve got you covered! In this article I’ll share 10 easy last minute
Halloween costumes with things you can probably find in your house.
Pirate
Start with black pants or a skirt. If you don’t have either of these dark jeans or any dark
bottoms will work. Grab a white long-sleeved shirt or dress shirt. Find a belt, preferably a white
one and put it around your waist. Find a bandana or scarf, fold it into a triangle and wrap it
around your head. If you want to make an eye patch cut a small circle of black fabric or felt and
attach an elastic band to create a makeshift eyepatch. Black boots are ideal for this costume
but if you don’t have any, any dark colored shoes will do. Find any gold or silver jewelry such as
necklaces, bracelets, rings, or hoop earrings. If you have any fake swords or if your little siblings
do, it can make a great addition to your costume.
Cowboy/Cowgirl
Start with a pair of jeans. If you don’t have any denim clothing, a skirt or jacket will do. Look for
a plaid or checkered shirt in your closet. If you have any boots, preferably cowboy boots, they’ll
work great for this costume. A wide belt with a noticeable buckle is a key accessory. If you add a
cowboy hat it’ll seal the look. Braids and pigtails are a great hairstyle for any cowgirl. Bandanas,
sheriff badges, lassos, and spurs are great accessories to add to finish the look.
Barbie
This is probably the easiest costume on this list. Just throw on any pink clothing and you can
just say you’re barbie.
Vampire
Start off wearing a full black outfit. If you have a black cape, drape it on your shoulders and if
not make a makeshift one. If you have fake plastic fangs wear them. If not, they are cheap at
any Halloween store. If you want your face to have a pale vampire-like appearance throw any
white face powder on it. If you want to add some makeup, red lipstick, eyeliner, and some red
eyeshadow under your eyes can make them appear bloodshot. Lastly, whether you’re a girl or a
boy a slicked back hairstyle looks great for this costume.
Hippie
If you’re going for that 70’s look, find some wide legged or flared pants. Throw on a tie-dye shirt
or loose-fitting blouse. Put on a fringe vest if you can find one. Throw on some round glasses.
Grab a colorful headband or bandana. If you’re looking for accessories look for or DIY any peace
sign jewelry. Put on any long necklaces or flowers in your hair.
Men in Black
Get a suit or dress pants and a blazer. Wear a white dress shirt or plain white tee and pair it
with a black tie. Throw on some black shades and if you want to add that extra touch make
your own M.I.B. badge, just look up a template online, edit your face on it or just keep it blank
and pin it to your jacket.
Fairy
This one is super simple, just add a pair wings with whatever outfit you want to wear. I would
suggest wearing a dress or skirt and pairing it with wings from a Halloween store or making
your own.
Ghost
If you thought the fairy one was simple, this one is the easiest. Get a white bed sheet, cut two
eyeholes and put it on, it’s really that easy.
Witch
Find any black dress or skirt and top and add a black cape if you feel like it. Get a witch hat from
a costume shop or craft store. Put on some black boots or sneakers. Get a broomstick from
your house for a more classic look. Add any black accessories like gloves or earrings. If you want
to add some makeup you can get some dark eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and dark lipstick. If you
want to go for a wicked witch vibe you can add warts or moles with green face paint.
Angel
Start off with a white dress, robe, or just an all-white outfit. Add feathers on your outfit and
make or buy some white feathered wings. Buy a halo or shape one with a yellow or white pipe
cleaner and attach it onto a headband using hot glue or tape. You can add white tights, white
shoes, and simple glowy makeup to achieve an angelic effect.
Whether you chose a classic costume or something trendy these costumes are sure to make
this Halloween a memorable a stress-free experience. Happy Halloween!
