In early 2023 the UHSAA (Utah High School
Activities Association) approved a decade long
push for the sanctioning of Boys Volleyball in
Utah. In the past decade the Utah Boys Volleyball
Association (UBVA) has run club seasons in the
fall as well as school club seasons in the spring.
This school club season has opened the door of
volleyball to many who now can play for a
sanctioned team this season.

The Davis Club

Last spring the Davis High team qualified for state
for the first time. The varsity team ended the
regular season with a 2-set sweep over region 1
powerhouse Weber who had a now BYU commit
Tenison Lighthall. With the season on the line the
team needed to take one set off the warriors and
with newfound energy they were able to win both
sets and take the match.

This year the club is gone, and the team is here!
Coached by McKay Barker the tryouts will take
place on February 26th and 27th with open gyms
happening every Thursday from 6-8pm intel then.
Whether you are a European professional,
seasoned club player, or have never seen a
volleyball in your life come to open gyms and get
into the class. All players are welcome, and you
could be a missing piece for the team!
