The State Volleyball Tournament was this past Friday and Saturday, November 7th and 8th at UVU. Our girls began tournament play on Friday at 10:30 am against Jordan.  Senior, Abbie Darling said, “The tournament decides where you rank in the state basically, its a bracket tournament, so where we finish in region decides where we are seeded in the state tournament. Right now we are going in as second seed, so we play the third seed…then you just play whoever wins.”

Before the tournament Darling was excited and thought things were looking pretty good, “I think we have a great shot, our hardest opponent right now would be Pleasant Grove…” Davis won their first game against Jordan and then ended up losing in the second round against Pleasant Grove.

Our girls had a great season and a great time. Darling said, “It was really great being on this team. We really came together. I basically had like 30 sisters which was great, especially since one of them was my sister. It was really fun, the coaches were awesome, really learned a ton and not just about volleyball just life lessons in general, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Senior, Eliza Jackson said, “I love our teams…I have learned so many skills outside of the actual volleyball skills like perseverance and pushing through hard times. Some of my favorite memories happen off the court when we are together just messing around and making great memories.”
