The Wrestling team just finished up with their state qualifier this weekend and the top eight wrestlers there will move on to the state meet. The state meet will take place February 11th and 12th.

“We’re ranked like third in state right now for 5A, we do pretty well at tournaments but most of the time we have kids injured when we verse region teams so we aren’t the best in region,” Christian Smith, a senior wrestler, said.

Each wrestler has their own unique way to stay in their weight class and keep up with the competition around them.

“If they work really hard like stay after practice and work they are usually pretty good,” said Smith.
