3/7 Bell Choir Spring Ring

The Bell Choir of Davis High will be traveling to Riverton High school to perform along with the bell Choirs from Wasatch, Jordan, Freemont, Lehi as well as Riverton itself. All of the schools will be given the same music and will perform the same songs under the same director for the other choirs. Ms. May, the director of the bell choir at Davis said they do it as an exercise for the students so they can hear another school perform.

3/11 Training Choir Festival

All of the Non-Auditioned choirs in the region will be gathering at Weber High School to participate in this festival. The Non-auditioned choirs, which do not include the Madrigals and other auditioned choirs, are those that are simply classes and do not require an audition. These students will gather to hear each other’s performances and to hear constructive criticism on their skills.

3/18 Choir Region Solo and Ensemble

This competition includes the Madrigals, the elite choir of Davis High, competing against the others in the region. Other individual solos, duets quartets and quintets will be competing as well. The performers will be judged by officials who will give them a score that translates to a poor, good, fair or superior rating, superior being the best.    Ms. May is very hopeful for her Madrigals ensemble getting an excellent score.
