Culinary Specialists Earn Top Honors

Culinary school, offered at the DATC, is a good way to do something you love, get high school and college credit, and give students great opportunities. Senior Bryan Ostermiller has attended the DATC for two years in their culinary school, and his world has opened up with opportunities.

Since starting two years ago, Ostermiller has won state in the culinary competition, placed sixth in nationals, received a college scholarship, and has worked in a kitchen as an occupation. None of these would have been possible without his course at the DATC.

Culinary school offers high school release every other day and full time in the summer. You receive high school and college credit for the class. It gives you scholarship offers you otherwise would not qualify for. Many food or catering business also look for new employees/chefs to hire straight from the school.
