The girls lacrosse season is winding down, and the girls on the team are already preparing for next season by making sure that they stay in shape over their time off.

“We’re conditioning, a lot,” Sophomore Hannah Johnson said. “We have bunch of food challenges, and exercises we have to do.”

Even as the girls practice now to get ready for their next games, they keep next season in mind with everything they do.

“Every practice we prepare for next season, as well as this season,” Sophomore Abby Potter said.

The team is also working on a new set of goals, which include taking the state title, creating a strong team, and playing a better season.

“Our goals, we really wanna take state, but that’s always our goal,” Junior Gillian Barrett said. “I would also like to build the program, have more people come and join the club. And hopefully make it school sanction sometime.”

After experiencing a rough start to the current season, the team is focusing on playing better next year, by working on stick skills, passing and team cooperation.

“[We] just want to play better than last season,” Junior Mahala Peterson said
