The “D” hold tradition at Davis High

The Davis high “D” is a symbol that all students of Davis know of. There is a mosaic version of this D on the floor by the office. This D was a part of the original Davis High, before it was remodeled. Hard work and extreme carefulness was mandatory to remove the mosaic and put it in the new school to commemorate the old school. The D was hard to remove and is very special to the school and its history.

Davis isn’t the only school with this type of school symbol. Even just a mascot is an important symbolic part of the school. There are many different mascots that schools have. They vary from animals, to mythical creatures, to other things, like dartman. Lots of schools also have different symbolic parts of the schools or things that help them remember and defend their own traditions.
