Students listen to different kinds of music

Riley Stam, Reporter

Every student at Davis High has their own unique music tastes and favorite bands. Right now at Davis, one of the most popular bands is Twenty-One Pilots. Twenty-One Pilots self-released an Album in 2009 as well as a few in 2011 and their newest album, Blurryface, just barely released.
Originally Twenty-One pilots consisted of Tyler Joseph and two other college friends. The band members as of right now are Tyler Joseph and Josh Dunn. Joseph actually came up with the band name, after the play All My Sons was shown and he thought the reference to the Twenty-One Pilots would be a good reminder for the band to do the right thing.
“They relate their songs to a lot of people and they themselves have been through tough times, so they can help other people.” junior Braydon Pinder said. Twenty-One Pilots not only has catchy music, but they help instill good character traits in teenagers through their example. “I love that they don’t try and conform, in today’s age, they try their own thing,” Pinder said.
The band continues to grow in popularity as students share the songs and the band’s unique messages.
