The Youth Alive Club is a Christian bible study and support group that meets on Wednesdays after school in chemistry teacher Julie Laub’s room.

“The Youth Alive Club brings something new to Davis. We have a very dominate religion and so it’s kind of nice to know that there are other groups and other places, and it just brings a different element to Davis that you do not usually see, and I think that is really good,” sophomore Ivie Laub said.

Most people do not think that there is much religious diversity, but surprisingly there is. Kaysville, Utah has many LDS churches, but jobs and the military bring students with different religions to the school.

“There are a lot of LDS [people] here. I do know we have a few Christians, and I’ve got a friend who is Sikh, so there are different religions, we tend to assume that everyone is LDS but that’s not the case, there are a lot of people who stray from that,” junior Jacee Sessions said.

Overall, the Youth Alive Club is an example of diversity in clubs happening this year. For more information on the club talk to adviser Ms. Laub in room 2314.
