Christmas is a religious celebration honoring the birth of Jesus Christ. It is commonly celebrated on the 25th of December by Christian religions. Many traditions around this holiday season include reading the story of Jesus’s birth in the Bible, decorating a tree, putting up lights, and giving and receiving gifts.

 

When asked about her favorite thing about the Christmas season Sabrina Plummer said, “Just like getting together as a family.”

 

Schools get out for a winter break and people often take time off from work to spend time with their families. Family Christmas parties are another common tradition people participate in around the holidays.

 

“I love Christmas. Everyone’s all happy and everyone is like serving others,” responded Oakley James

 

To spread Christmas cheer multiple service projects occur every year to allow for people to give to others. Whether it’s money, help, or love, there is a lot of cheer to help brighten people’s spirits.

 

Christmas is one of the most anticipated holidays of the year so make sure to have a wonderful Christmas Season this year.
