The cross country team has spent lots of time training for the upcoming season.
“We train every single day. We have workouts and we run sometimes. But we obviously throw some fun in there too.” Runner Lauren Spackmen said.
With this hard work the team has already started to see their hard work pay off.
“We’ve been able to bond together as a team and win our first few races,” Runner Porter Van Drimmelen said.
The team has run into some trouble with runners getting injured and coaches leaving but there is still a lot of good prospects for this season. The team received many first place finishes at the recent Bob Firman Invitational and hopes to keep this streak going through the rest of the season.
