- Micron Fine Point Pen Set
Micron pens are a staple for any artist or crafter. These pens are durable and provide clean, sharp lines. They are great for outlining, drawing, and adding little details to your spreads. My personal favorite way to use these pens if for calligraphy and lettering. With a wide variety of tip widths, these pens are very versatile and great for everyday use.
- Glue Tape
As a scrapbooker, this is an essential. Glue sticks are great and all, but nothing beats the simplicity and quickness of a glue tape roller. They’re great for sticking everything from ribbons and fabric to paper and buttons in your scrapbook and journals. This is the one scrapbooking tool I use every single spread.
- Markers
Paper, pictures, and stickers are great to fill pages, but there’s always that one spot on a spread that feels empty or is lacking color. A great way to solve this is through markers! Doodles, lettering…you name it. A great budget friendly option is the Crayola fine tip washable markers. These are great for kids and adults.
- Buttons
This is niche and honestly quite controversial among the scrapbooking community, but they make a great addition to any spread, no matter the aesthetic or vibe. Some scrapbookers prefer pictures of buttons rather than actual buttons because it makes the pages bulky. Stickers or pictures work great as well, but personally I love the change of texture in a spread.
- Glitter
You can never go wrong with glitter, even if it’s a mess sometimes. Glitter can add a well needed change in texture, color, or vibe. Glitter is also extremely versatile; it can be used with any media.
- Washi Tape
It comes in many different colors and patterns and goes with literally everything. It’s great for those spreads where something feels off, where you can tell something is missing, but you can’t tell what.
- Handwritten Notes or Doodles
Handwriting is extremely unique to each person and can be a tasteful addition to any spread. From short stories to quotes, the possibilities are endless. My personal favorite is to write sayings or quotes I like around pictures to act as a background.
- Ribbon
Ribbon is great for any spread from gothic to cutesy. It adds great texture and color. It makes great boarders for pictures and pages and glueing cute ribbon bows onto your spreads is another great use for ribbon.
- Sheet Music
Sheet music—of any kind—is great for scrapbooking backgrounds and decor. It can go behind pictures, or you can cut it up into cute shapes and paste them on your page.
- PNG’s
PNG’s add a great addition to any scrapbook spread. If you look up PNG’s on Pinterest, hundreds of cute pictures will pop up that you can print and use in your spreads.
