Dieon Sanders arguably one of the single greatest athletes in the sports world being an absolute demon on the football field and on the baseball diamond. Has recently taken on the daunting task of being the head coach for the Colorado Buffaloes. A team that had a terrible 2022 season and coming out in 2023 taking down so big teams, it looks like Dieon has a pretty promising future as a coach.

Deion Sanders was born on August 9, 1967, in Fort Myers, Florida. Sanders grew up in rather humbling conditions coming from a poverty dense neighborhood. He lived in a rough neighborhood called Park 7. Despite the challenging childhood Dieon showed exceptional amount of athleticism. He attended Noth Fort Myers High School, where he played multiple sports. Some of these sports would include football, baseball, and track. He was most well known for his speed and agility. With such athleticism he was a sought-after athlete at all levels of his academic career. Sanders played many positions in high school including wide receiver, quarterback, and defensive back. He led his team to a State Championship.

Deion didn’t just excel in football but baseball to. While in high school Deion was an outfielder, and he was eventually drafted to the Kansas City Royals in the 6th round of the 1985 MLB draft.

Deion Sanders is considered one of the best athletes ever. Dieon’s football career is one for the books. In 1989 Dieon was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons as a cornerback. While he was with the Falcons Dieon earned, himself he nickname “Prime Time.” This was because of how he played the game. He played with so much swagger and energy. Dieon was flashy. In 1994 Prime Time was traded to the 49ers where he was a key role in winning a super bowl. Sanders wasn’t just a defensive weapon he was also a nasty kick and punt returner. Deion was then traded to the Cowboys and would win another super bowl. He would then go on to play for the Washington redskins and the Baltimore Ravins before retiring from the NFL.

While Deion was in the NFL we was also in the MLB. While in the MLB he would play for the New York Yankees, the Atlanta Braves, the Cincinnati Reds, and the San Francisco Giants. He played out field. His most valuable trait would be the fact that he was freakishly fast. He was very good at stealing bases and tracking down fly balls with his speed. One of his greatest baseball achievements is that he played in the world series. In 1997 he led the National League in triples. He would eventually retire from the MLB in 2001.

Deion is the only athlete ever to have played in a Super Bowl and in a World Series. There have been athletes who have played both sports at the professional level in their lifetime including Bo Jackson who played in the NFL and then suffered a knee injury and retired from the NFL and then played in the MLB. But Prime Time is the only person to ever play both Baseball and Football at the same time. There where many times where he played both sports in the same calendar year. One of his most impressive accomplishments ever would be the fact that he played a NFL game and a MLB game on the same day. It is quite impressive that he was able to juggle two professional sports careers at the same time.

Dieon is now currently coaching his boys at Colorado. He has taken the sports world by storm. After taking the horrible Colorado Buffalos and complete revamping the team. He cut many players and coaches since they were not good enough and the whole entire program was the problem. So, the Colorado Buffalos got a whole new restart. And with the coming of Coach Prime comes his sons, Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders. Shedeur is the quarter back and Shilo is the safety.

So far Deion sanders has had a quite amazing football career, and far more is to come. With the great success in the NFL and in the MLB, he now is looking at a promising career as a college football coach. Deion’s flashy style and his electric playing style has forever impacted the sports world.
