    “Matched” Book Review

Matched is a book about a futuristic dystopian society where the government controls everything from who you marry to what job you have to when you die. They even control exactly how much food you can eat based on how many calories you should get a day. It’s very fast paced, and readers will find themselves staying up into the early hours of the morning. While the last scene has a slightly melancholy feel, it ends on a hopeful note. Basically, if Twilight and The Hunger Games had a baby, it would be this book. The main character’s name is Cassia. She is a normal girl (if you can call being okay with everything in your life being controlled normal), who has always followed the rules, always complied, never fought against anything, until one day she fell in love with someone she wasn’t supposed to love, Ky. Readers will have a hard time deciding if they’re team Xander or team Ky, because they’re both so lovable and she loves  As she slowly gains the courage to rebel against everything she has always known and been taught, she falls deeper in love with the wrong guy. The main question in the story is if something feels so right, then how could it be wrong? Between the love triangle and the un-put-downable-ness, this is definitely a book that no one should miss.
