Six hundred and thirty applicants nationwide applied for the Utah State ambassador scholarship. Among those was Davis High Senior Eliza Lin, who won the scholarship.

“I got the scholarship, it is full-ride for 4 years,” Lin said.

The ambassador scholarship is open to incoming freshmen, who maintain a 3.0 GPA, and positively represent Utah State University.

“My role is to come back to Davis and recruit students for Utah State.” Lin said.

The extensive application Eliza had to send in consisted of one page application, a 250 word essay discussing why the student wants to be an ambassador, one page resume, two pages of graphics depicting who you are and your accomplishments, and two sealed letters of recommendation. The sought ambassadors should portray interpersonal skills, strong teamwork capability, and enthusiasm for Utah State. As a Davis High senior officer, Eliza was a great choice for the scholarship.
