Captain America: cheesy but intense

Captain America: The First Avenger” is about Steve Rogers, a man from Brooklyn considered too pathetic for the military in World War II. He volunteers for a Top Secret research project for the government to create “super-soldiers,” which gives him superhero-like skills. This “star-spangled man with a plan” devotes his new life as Captain America to defending America and its values from a branch of the Nazi Army, HYDRA, and its ruthless, power hungry leader, Johann Schmidt.

The attractive Chris Evans does an excellent job playing the first scrawny then super buff Rogers, although he is a little annoying when he starts getting a big head. Hayley Atwell, playing the determined soldier Peggy Carter, is a spunky British actress that adds emotion and a fiery attitude to the movie.
